Lagos, Nigeria

I started mixing sound in a church when I was about nine.

Born and raised in Lagos.

Front of house. Audio and lighting.

Most of what I know about a room, I learned from the back of it.

I had also started a small marketing and branding practice for local businesses.

Lagos to Cardiff

In 2019 I moved to Wales to study.

Lagos 6.52 N, 3.38 E. Cardiff 51.48 N, 3.18 W.

A long way from the back of the room.

University of South Wales

I studied live sound and event production.

Then electrical and electronic engineering.

And started organising almost at once

I hosted the university's first Afro Caribbean event.

I became Event Officer, then President, of the African Caribbean Society.

Cardiff

Afrowales began, and it kept growing.

A platform that connects African, Caribbean, Black Welsh and diaspora creatives through events, workshops and artist development. In 2026 it became a community interest company.

At the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, with 281 nominations across 16 categories. I lead marketing, public relations, media and communications.

AMPLIFY.

The Welsh music sector met in the Pierhead at the Senedd. I founded AMPLIFY and convene the music sector within it.

The AMPLIFY Charter proposes four pilots: collaborative stages, a Welsh music chart, regular pay for creators, and a usable cultural credit called Pass Cymru.

The chart is being developed with the Official Charts Company and Creative Wales.
